Ana Zanic was born and educated in Croatia, where she earned a Master of Fine Arts Degree from the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Zagreb (2002). Her award-winning work has been exhibited in twenty solo and over seventy group exhibitions, in the United States, and Croatia.
Zanic'c abstract watercolor paintings, varying in size from the intimate up to six foot tall, belie the rigor required to create the notions of abandoned landscapes, ancient scribblings, amoebic flows, aquatic dynamism.
Zanic's watercolors are a part of numerous private and public collections, some of which include Loews Hotel Chicago downtown, Wachovia Headquarters in Houston and Central National Gottesman in New York.
She currently lives and works in Geneva, IL.
